My thanks goes to the Mike Rundle, and Paul “Scrivs” Scrivens for stopping by my little corner of the Web to talk to me about their 9rules Network. I had only expected to announce the 9rules Network Blog update, and express my concerns and fears for a Network with an immense amount of star power backing its name.

It turned into what I consider the most open and candid interview that I have ever read with two of the three major players of the 9rules Network.

The article: 9rules Network Updates Blog Design, is much shorter than the comments that follow, and not only did they take the time to answer all of my questions, they also posted it on their own newly redesigned blog for the world to see, showing that they can be very transparent to the world at large. They could have just ignored me and went on their merry way, instead they confronted me, were open to criticism, and communicated their ideals and intentions.

As much as they confirmed some of what I am both excited and afraid of, they did not deny anything, and worked to see things from my point of view, and they deserve to be commended for that.

I have been more or less ripped apart for my opinion in the past (Choke on a Mint anyone?), but it takes some real character to communicate effectively.

I wanted to note something else in this post though. You would think that a post on the 9rules blog would have brough massive amounts of traffic to this site, as there are probably thousands if not tens of thousands of people reading the 9rules blog on a daily basis, yet Newsvine, currently invite only as well, has been creating almost two times the traffic in comparison. I thought that was really interesting.
