Sabine asked me many months ago what I wanted, and with our financial situation being what it is currently, we couldn’t afford anything big for my birthday, so I asked her to pick up a Star Trek book for me, and she did.
The more I thought about my upcoming 25th birthday, the more I realized that other than some computer gadgets, there are very few things I need or want. The ideas I come up with are mostly for the house and most of them are not cheap. We still don’t have window coverings for all of our windows. We need to pick up a few more things for the house, like a coffee table, some pictures, and some more shelving and whatnot. We don’t even have a snow shovel, and I can feel the chill of winter knocking on my door.
So to anyone that is thinking of getting me anything, gift cards are really what are needed for movie theatres, Canadian Tire, Wal-Mart and other such stores as we try to slowly put together the money we need to continue to make this house a home for Sabine and I.
Why movie theatres? Well, I haven’t gone out to see a movie since before summer started, and that is because everything else is more important money wise, and so while I’d love to go to the theatre and have the movie and popcorn experience, it just usually makes more sense for Sabine and I to go to Blockbuster, and buy three or four used DVD’s for the same price as admission for both of us to one big screen movie. And I can’t convince her otherwise…

If you do end up going to the movies and are up for some serious fun, go see Superbad
When I was in Boston last week (my girlfriend lives there… great weather too compared to Holland, hehe) i went to see that movie, and it honestly made me laugh harder then most of the other movies I’ve seen, hehe.
