I have noticed that much of my traffic is directed at work related content, while much of my posts are focused on my life, rather than my work. I will be working at making it a more even split over the coming months, and so I had the idea that I should have a way for visitors to filter out what type of content they want. With the help of some great people at Bloggy Network, including my boss, Jacob, who got really excited about the idea, and Munzir, our resident coder, we were able to make my idea a reality.

If you want to see only posts about my work, all you have to do is select work, and click filter. Currently, in verson 0.1, it still lacks some of the features I need to make this a huge part of my site, but I have been told I can expect those features soon.

You might have noticed that it is based on single categories right now, and so that might lead you to wonder why such a tool is needed, but I can assure you we are working on multi-category filtering as well, and since it is cookie based, it will remember your selection for a period of time, meaning that when you return to the site, you will only see the posts based on your last filter choice.

Once the plugin is complete, if there is interest we will be releasing it, so I look forward to that.

Update: The filters are now multi-category based, so if you want to filter out my personal stuff, just select work, and click filter.
