The parts for my new computer have finally arrived, and I am so excited. I forgot that the Intel Core 2 Duo is a Land Grid Array socket. It should be interesting.

Sabine will be putting in the RAM, hard drive, video card, and whatnot, and so I look forward to seeing how she does. I have a feeling it might test my patience a bit, but it will be worth it. I think building a computer makes you realize how crazy that black or beige box sitting under your desk really is.

I am getting a bit antsy though to get the computer up and running. The parts have been here since just before Sabine went to work. All I am allowed to do is look at them, and get things ready. Though I do get to mount the motherboard and connect the power supply and put in the CPU and HSF. The dangerous work as I call it.

Wish us luck. Here is hoping for a successful POST.
