Zachary Houle of Invisible Ink has recently interviewed me for his blog, asking five questions about me and my work.

5) Seeing that you are a blogger, a writer of fiction, a Web developer — and that’s probably among countless other things that you are, like a common-law spouse — what the heck do you do for a social life?

I really don’t have much of a social life. And really this gives me a good chance to mention something I think is important. Blogging professionally is not glamorous at all. The job is long hours, many times the work is fairly tedious, and not always the most creative. The stuff I do when I am not working, really ends up being work as well, which it seems all my hobbies have become. Even playing a round on the Xbox 360 sometimes means looking at it from a reviewers perspective, which can drain the fun factor of the game.

My whole social life consists of either going to the mall with Sabine, my fiance, or talking on one of many instant message programs with people. I have always been good at keeping myself busy though, with things like you mentioned.

It is nice to be asked to talk about what I do. I really feel sometimes that people overlook the contributions I have made, and that is probably because I don’t really advertise myself and sell myself online. A great few questions with me on Invisible Ink.
