you know it's a good investment... it's better to have real estate you do nothing with, than no real estate at all. :)

Well, we cant say whether its a good buy or not without hearing the domain name. But if you have a service related to that name then its a good buy.

Thanks gautch. I didn't get anything as sexy as nike.com, but I think you are right. The content I will add, as well as the branding work I will do on the domain will eventually, hopefully, make it worth something more than a registration fee.

As for what the domain is... I'd rather not say yet, as I want to get it going first.

Well i think for the most part, the domain becomes valuable once you put something there with value. Basically the domain could be as long or as short as you want. The value comes from the content.

Unless you registered something that a big company would buy, then it could be have a higher value off the start. But again, it comes down to the content for how much more value you can create with it.

Say (in theory) you bought nike.com, you could sell it to Nike at a set value ($). Or you could fill it with content that Nike wouldn't want on the web. Then the value ($) becomes much higher than just a name to sell. Does that make sense?

Do you mind if i ask what the domain is?
