Justin recently put up a post on his blog asking people to write about him in exchange for money. It feels a little odd to do, but I figured since I know him pretty well, I would give it a go, and talk about Justin, and his blog.
The Man
I have never met Justin before in person, but I have had numerous dealings with him online, via e-mail, instant messaging, Skype, and we’ve even talked on the phone (a rarity for me). My fiance affectionately calls him my “girlfriend”, because for a while we were always talking in one way or another, plotting and planning our future, making fun of some sites and bowing before how cool others were.
Justin is one of those people that you either like or don’t like, and when I first talked to him, I didn’t know which one I fell under, though quickly I realized he is one of the good guys, and unlike most of my friends, he actually goes out of his way to create a dialog and really get to know me.
So overall, Justin can be a bit jarring to talk to and deal with, but it’s just his boisterous attitude, and so once you get past that, he is one of the best friends you can have. He is also pretty savvy when it comes to online business, and pretty giving with advice and help. I know I have made more than a few dollars thanks to his advice and influence.
The Website
Elena of Design Disease created the design for Justin’s current WordPress powered blog, and its amazing. It has got him featured in numerous CSS and design galleries, and no doubt a fair bit of traffic. This blog was also created by Elena. The design difference really came down to my wants and needs for something simple, and really I should have let her go wild. C’est la vie.
Justin tries to continually add content to his blog. He seems to get out more posts on his than I do on mine, and hopefully I can change that around has I am a professional blogger, and he isn’t, so you’d think I’d have more time and opportunity to write on here…
If you haven’t checked out the design of Justin’s blog, jump on over and take a look. You’ll know its Elena that designed it once you check out some of her other works. She definitely has her own style going.
