Well, I took the plunge and am using Ubuntu on my new computer. I never expected to use Ubuntu as my Linux distro of choice, but after looking at some screen shots it was either this or OpenSuse, and so I chose this as it seems to have a huge community behind it.

So now I have to send out a plea for help. I need software to replace some of my favourites.

I need somethings to replace the following applications:
Crimson Editor
Irfanview
Winamp - XMMS
BS Player - Democracy, Movie Player and VLC
BitComet - Azureus

Let me know if you have any ideas for those, as well as your favourite Linux software that will work on Ubuntu.
