I have signed up to try my hand at writing 50,000 words in a month. And I don’t mean blog posts that equal 50,000 words, I mean a story, or basically what amounts to a short/small novel. Nanowrimo or Nano for short is a yearly event that happens from November 1st through the 30th, giving me a month to complete the required words.
I have already started, and I am working on pushing out the thoughts, ideas, and pages as quickly as possible. I can use support, encouragement, and congrats as I push forward through this difficult process. I don’t know if anyone will ever read what I am going to write over this month, but the idea of getting a real story written really appeals to me and has been one of my life goals for a long time.
Keep an eye on my progress via this post:

Note: Sorry about the slowdown of the index page due to grabbing the graphic. I’d love a way to cache it daily if anyone has a tool to do that, let me know.

Good luck with the novel. I wish I had the time and endurance to take on that task.
I really like your blog. It is nice to see a fellow Canadian doing well on the net

Thanks Phil. I really appreciate it. I saw the link from your site. Thanks a bunch. Odd to see my blog’s name next to Wil Wheaton though. ![]()

Good luck! I’m taking part in it as well.
I’m in the same boat. I don’t know if anyone will ever read what I’m writing, but I don’t really care either way. It’s fun to try and accomplish.
