For the first time since I lived in British Columbia, I have experienced a green Christmas. With no snow on the ground, it did not feel like it was holiday time, and so getting through the days felt a little slow.

This is also the first time Sabine and I spent the holidays alone, as we usually go to either her parents or my families place to celebrate, but instead we just had each other to hang out with. We didn’t put up a tree, or any decorations, holiday cards were put on the bay of the window, and we didn’t exchange gifts.

It was a quiet and relaxing time, and we watched some television, movies, and listened to some music, none of it being Christmas music.

I didn’t get much in the way of presents nor did I spend any time spreading holiday cheer. It just passed like any other day. Next year, we will be spending the time with my family, probably in Kingston, and after the year off, I am looking forward to it.

I have a few more days off work before I have to get back in gear, and this time will be used to get my head on straight, allow me to refocus, and relax before getting into the swing of things.

I hope to find the time to continue to work on my portfolio page here, and update Digital Life News. Also, I plan on dropping most of my current projects and focusing on a few things, and especially Bloggy Network.

I am really enjoying my new role at the company and the responsibilities that come with it. The job would be perfect if they were the ones taking care of all the tax details. But nothing is perfect.

I am really looking forward to the new year and all that it brings. Hopefully, it will be another great year, and I hope everyone made it through the holidays and are doing well.
