I recently decided that the current state of affairs for finding willing and able bloggers as well as a central location for companies to promote the blog related job openings was horrible and too expensive.
The features weren’t there, and the understanding of the fast pace of blogging was not understood.
I took it upon myself to create The Blog Job where the advertiser has fully 24/7 access to their job posting. This allows the poster to change their ad, edit their ad, or add onto their advertisement at any time they see fit.
For example, say you put up a job posting and by the second day, you have found someone. You still have twenty-eight days before your advertisement expires, and so rather than deleting the advertisement, or just putting closed, you can edit the advertisement to promote another job.
Premium positions on The Blog Job are $40 for 30 days, and regular postings are $20 for 30 days. This is an amazing value, as the site will be promoted on a variety of high traffic sites, including 901am.com.
How Does The Blog Job Compare?
PaidContent Jobs: $440 for 20 business days
37signals Job Board: $300 for 30 days
GigaOM Jobs: $200 for 30 days
CrunchBoard.com: $200 for 30 days
Pro Blogger: $50 for 30 days
The Blog Job: $20 or $40 for 30 days and you get 24/7 access to your posting!
If you are looking for bloggers, want full control over your advertisements, go to The Blog Job and post your advertisement today.
I will also be promoting bloggers on the site, at the bottom of the page there is a section where bloggers will be able to post their qualifications and what they are looking for FREE. Meaning you could also stumble upon bloggers that will fit your company well.
There is also the option to support the site through sidebar advertising. This is a great way to show your support, as well as advertise your network on a site that will soon be a cornerstone for bloggers and networks to connect. Advertisements in the sidebar are limited to 120px by 120px graphics and are only $40 a month.
Please take some time to have a look at the site, it is just starting, but it might be exactly what you need to find new talent and advertise any open positions.

Neat idea.
Would you also have more than just bloggers? How about web related developers in general… ie. Designers, Front-end / Backend Developers, Bloggers etc.

David,
As your internet-driven friend and advisor in all matters suiting fancy, I recommend that you immediately remove the contact information for individual bloggers that post their information. What methods are you going to utlize to keep potential blog owners from going around your website and contacting bloggers directly?
I believe you should have a fee for blog owners to hire bloggers listed on your website, the same way monster would for jobs in general.
I feel it is in your best interest to make sure you’re covering your basis and keeping people from provoking you by manuevering around your site.
Just my two cents my friend, may not be worth anything..

Of course it’s worth something, but the key to the site is connecting two parties together. If they find a blogger from the pool of people already listed, that’s great by me. The money the site makes will be used to advertise the site as well as create new features, not to line my pocket.
I understand where you are coming from though, and if money was the end goal of the project, then I’d probably agree. I want an open system, and I want to give others the same opportunity that I have had.
